For the love of younger ones, Shuttle Private School provides opportunity for the little ones to meet other children and also let them begin to understand the world around them by being exposed to the learning environment as provided for in Pre-School divided into Baby, Middle Classes and Reception.
Shuttle's baby sensory courses accept children as young as one year old. The official babysitting lessons introduce the children to a variety of activities such as playing sessions, story telling, singing, and playing with a variety of props and equipment, as well as massage. This fosters self-consciousness as well as awareness of those around them. As they are introduced to tummy time, physical touch, and active movement, the babies’ physical skills and coordination are tested. Singing and nursery rhymes are also used to improve the babies' communication skills.
The Middle Class comprise children who have graduated from baby Class and basically.
This is the class where pupils are prepared into Grade 1. The children are drilled in mental, spelling and reading activities. The learners are prepared in writing, listening skills and introduced to real mathematics through mental arithmetics.
Lower and upper elementary classrooms in grades 1-4 and 5-7, respectively, make up the primary school.
Sports, spelling, culture/dramas, guidance and counseling are the most common physical activities in the lower grades. Strong reading and writing skills, health promotion, Zambian culture, and good morals are all bonuses for the learners.
Children in grades 5 through 7 are classified as upper class. The school curriculum is closely followed in this category, resulting in the development of structured abilities in pupils. Calculative skills, morals, and Christian values are instilled in learners.
